1. Cut the orange into slices. Pour the wine into a pan (but not aluminum, as it will alter the flavor).
2. Add the orange slices, clove, sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup to the pan. Cook 15 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Do not bring to a boil, as it will cause the alcohol will evaporate.
3. Remove the clove and the cinnamon, and serve immediately.
