Pizza with Hummus and Herbs

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 4 (7-inch) pizza crusts
  • 1 (1.5 oz) pkg basil
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz) tub spicy hummus
  • 1/2 cup sprouts
  • 1 cup watercress
  • 4 tbsp toasted pine nuts


1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the pizza crusts. Bake on 2 sheet pans until crust is crispy, 20 min.
2. Meanwhile, coarsely chop the basil and halve the cherry tomatoes. Remove dough from the oven and spread hummus over each pizza. Top each with basil, tomatoes, sprouts, watercress, and pine nuts.


1. Toast your own pine nuts. All you need is a few minutes and a hot pan.
2. Finish pizzas with a generous pinch of Maldon salt and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil for flavor and texture.
