Mixed Berry Shurb

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar


1. Bring berries, sugar, and 1 cup water to a boil in a large pot and reduce to a rapid simmer. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 min. or until liquid has reduced by one third and is a deep red color. (Skim off any scum that accumulates at the top of the pot.)
2. Add the apple cider vinegar and simmer on low for 5 min. Allow mixture to cool slightly before straining into a large glass bottle. Chill until ready to serve.


Flavor sparkling water with shrub to taste, and enjoy over ice.
