Chicago Grilled Sausage and Fixings

  • 4 bratwurst sausages
  • 2 dill pickle spears
  • 1 plum tomato
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 8 sport peppers


1. Set grill to high heat. Grill sausages for 12–15 min. rotating often, until charred and no pink remains in the middle (or internal temperature reaches 160°F). Cut the dill pickle spears in half lengthwise, and slice plum tomato.
2. Arrange sausages in buns and garnish with fixings.


Try this recipe with kielbasa instead of bratwurst.
