Blackberry-Lemon Sparklers

  • 1 pint blackberries
  • 1 Tbsps sugar
  • ½ cup pomegranate juice
  • 3 Tbsps lemon juice
  • 1 liter lemon-lime seltzer


1. In a medium saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar, and pomegranate juice. Heat to a simmer on high. Reduce heat to medium and cook 5 minutes, until berries are tender, stirring occasionally. Let cool.

2. In a blender, purée blackberry mixture until smooth. Strain into small pitcher and stir in lemon juice. Refrigerate until cold.

3. For each drink, pour 2 Tbsps blackberry syrup into a tall glass of ice and stir in about ½ cup seltzer.
