Green Velvet Cake





  • Cooking spray
  • (3) 8” circular baking pans
  • Parchment paper
  • 2 boxes white cake mix
  • ⅔ cups vegetable oil
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 oz green food coloring


  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 6 oz white chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Edible green cake glitter


Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Lightly spray three circular 8” baking pans and line with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine and with a hand mixer beat the white cake mix, vegetable oil, water and eggs until smooth.

Add green food coloring and mix until combined.

Pour batter evenly into the three baking pans and bake for 25 minutes.

While cake is baking, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese until soft peaks form.

Add melted white chocolate and vanilla extract to cream cheese and beat.

Add powered sugar to bowl and beat until combined evenly.

Let cake completely cool.

Place one layer of cake on a plate or cake stand. Spread icing over the top of the cake leaving the sides bare. Sprinkle with green glitter. Continue to layer cake, icing and glitter until there are three layers of cake and three layers of icing with glitter.
