Gluten-Free Apple Crisp




Apple Crisp Filling:

  • 4 granny smith apples – quartered and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp of lemon
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 2 tsp of corn starch
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp of nutmeg


  • 1 cup rolled or steel-cut oats (gluten-free)
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp table salt
  • 4 Tbsp of unsalted butter


1. Preheat oven to 375º.
2. Slice apples add them to bowl.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients from the filling recipe into the same bowl.
4. Mix until all apples are covered in the ingredients.
5. Add topping ingredients into a separate bowl.
6. Melt butter and add to the toppings bowl and mix until it looks like a crumble.
7. Add filling to a pyrex (or something like it) baking dish.
8. Add topping and spread on top.
9. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
10. Add ice cream or whipped cream and enjoy!
